2021 - fast moving and digital - the big pressure for many companies is to keep up, to be up-to-date, to remain marketable, more than ever due to Corona. We at metanoy help companies with their digitalization, we modernize the standards, introduce the employees, develop an app for you - all on point. The demands on today's IT are very high, everything should always be fast, efficient and reliable, but also always optimizable, flexible and scalable. Higher, faster, further! With all the ambition and success we have as a company, our values and standards are especially important to us. We don't just pay lip service to them because they sound good or are easy to market. It is important to us to stand by what we stand for and to live that authenticity. Over the next few weeks, we will be blogging more about our values and standards. Today's post is an overview of the series.

But we also want to introduce another topic on our blog that we have given a lot of thought to: our name metanoy. Are you interested in where it comes from? Then click here, in our very first post we explain what our name is all about.

But let's start at the beginning: our founders thought carefully about what metanoy stands for and what we promise our customers and employees. Our values and standards were not formulated in the short term, but with foresight, sustainability and a focus on the future. We want to be a role model, both as a company and as an employer.

Role model - why it is important to us

What exactly does it mean? Being a role model. We understand that many people can say what they want and talk about what they want, but at metanoy we don't just give good advice, we live it for our employees and our customers. Above all, we want to be authentic and have integrity, so we know exactly what we are talking about and what we are recommending. It couldn't work better for us. metanoy doesn't just want to be a modern and digital company, we are!

We are always guided by our mission statement, which is based on four pillars: remote, organic, social and specific. These are our solid foundations. Below is a brief outline of what these terms mean to us - metanoy.

REMOTE

This means that we want to work effectively and with personal responsibility. Thanks to trust-based working hours, our employees are free to organize their work as they wish. Jour fixes and meetings still structure the week, of course, but being able to go to the gym or pick up the kids from school on time in the evening - that's possible with us. And not just with reduced hours, but with a meaningful day. Remote: from anywhere, at any time, optimally equipped with good hardware, the work-life balance can be completely redefined. The trust placed in us motivates our employees to give their best, a very special form of team spirit.

ORGANIC

In order to meet this demand, it is important to be up to date at all times. We see ourselves as a modern, network-oriented company that is constantly changing and adapting to customers and projects. Through self-reflection, we are open to new ideas, transparent and respectful. We are committed to equal treatment and equal rights. We work in cross-functional teams in an interdisciplinary way, without hierarchies within our structures. We want to bring our customers to the best possible digital level for them. We try to offer a wide range of solutions that are individual, needs-based and customer-oriented.

SOCIAL

With an eye on the future, today is the time for action! We are committed to sustainability, supporting young talent and being a place of learning and research. As an intern or working student, young people can gain valuable experience, gain insight into management, create routines and benefit from being part of a well-functioning team. Not just as an outside observer, but as part of the whole.

Last but not least, we are aware of our responsibility, which is why we also contribute non-profit to social projects. Not every organization can afford "proper" digitization, neither the support nor the hardware or software, although it would be essential. We dedicate ourselves to companies that do important social work and help those who need it most.

SPECIFIC

Through constant exchange and curiosity, we are always up to date. This enables us to offer innovative, customized solutions. It is especially important to us to respond to our customers' specific needs. At metanoy there is no standard solution, no one size fits all. We immerse ourselves in the company, understand the structures and respond to wishes and needs. This enables us to develop and offer a sensible, sustainable and good approach.

When values become principles

This internal set of rules was created early on to guide us, our employees and, of course, our customers. From this, we were able to directly derive principles that should guide our daily work at metanoy.

In the center of the following graphic is the umbrella term "Principles", the principles are arranged around it, without further visual categorization, none is bigger or smaller than the other, so we show how important each individual principle is.
